2017 US Commerce PE Trade Mission to Middle East
We just wrapped up our US Department of Commerce Certified Trade Mission of private equity and real estate managers to the region. We were proud of our diverse delegation of 12 US fund managers, and especially our keynote speakers (Jim Burns of KKR & Tom Darden of Cherokee Funds). Our Saudi LP guests were particularly interested in learning about new opportunities to invest in the United States.
As you probably know, in the past few days, the Saudis have announced more than $100 billion in investments to the US, in all sectors, directly and through funds, and we expect more to come. If you'd like an introduction to the LP investors we met in Saudi Arabia (as well as more than 100 active allocators through the GCC, please reserve your spot for the October 2017 Virtual Mission here).
"I was very impressed by the connections we made during our trade mission trip to Saudi Arabia and Oman with Gracia Group. I was particularly impressed by the investors we met, specifically that they were not simply sovereign wealth funds or other entities we would have found on our own. Rather, we were introduced to leading private businesses and family offices that we would not have identified otherwise. Chad Gracia's long history in the region has created a great network. We look forward to working further with Gracia Group and with the LP's we met on our trip." - Tom Darden, Cherokee Funds
"As a venture capital firm, Chad Gracia’s trade mission to the Middle East was very worthwhile for us. We had many productive meetings in a condensed time frame. It was a great use of our time, and we hope to attend the next one.” - Tom Tsao, Gobi Ventures
